22-year-old English alternative rock artist Dominic Harrison, professionally known as YUNGBLUD, released his latest EP, the underrated youth, on Friday, October 18. This six-song collection includes a track featuring Dan Reynolds from Imagine Dragons. This collaboration was announced via the artists’ social media accounts on Friday, October 4. The single, “original me,” was released on October 8, along with a music video in which the duo sing and dance in a junkyard with cars falling around them. The video was filmed in Las Vegas and directed by Jordan Bahat, an award-winning filmmaker who has produced videos for bands, like Twenty One Pilots on “Holding on to You”.

YUNGBLUD is currently on the Twisted Tales of the Ritalin Club tour, which was inspired by his upcoming graphic novel he is co-authoring with Z2 Comics.

the underrated youth

“This song is about accepting the parts of yourself that you hate and realising your biggest superpower is to be originally, authentically yourself. Working with Dan Reynolds was such a dream come true as he is a huge inspiration for me. The song literally came out of the studio within a day. The mutual raw energy between us made this song what it is.”
